Its amazing that economic news can only mean one of two things.

Either:

• The latest reports show the economy is slowing down and heading into a recession which will destroy the happiness of all living things, or
• The latest reports indicate that economic strength will force the Fed to raise interest rates again which will destroy the happiness of all living things

Here's my message for the mainstream media.  Knock it off!

Bush is doing enough damage to himself without your editorializing every bland news item into "Bush is the devil and he's ruining your lives".

Should they make their views known or quietly go about their business?

Is there a difference between a Christian activist group and PETA, for example?

Do Christians detract from their message by trying to influence politics?

Will Christians be held accountable for not standing up for what they believe?

We have become a nation of unsatisfiable jerks. How could 47% of the nation have a negative opinion of her?
