It turns out to have been a Democratic staffer who leaked NIE findings - only the part damaging to the White House and not the part damaging to Democratic stated strategies.
This staffer has been suspended and denied access to classified documents and could face criminal prosecution.
The "America-be-damned" approach of Democrats towards leaking sensitive information (at least four major leaks this year) shows us a party tragically more interested in its own resurgence than in obeying the law or protecting America's best interests.
I know some will respond that Republicans have put America's interests at great peril (I disagree, but I understand that belief) but I would then argue that a philosophy that says the ends justify the means is morally corrupt and deadly when in power.
