The Wall Street Journal correctly notes that John Kerry has blocked the nomination of a diplomat (essentially fired the individual who Bush had recommended hiring) because.....get this....he gave money to the Swift Boat veterans for truth.

If the Democrats are being honest (not a chance) about their horror towards the political firing of federal prosecutors (which is wholly legal), then they must also bring the heads of a few Kerry supporters to the gallows.

His purely political "firing" of an imminently qualified individual is precisely what they say is so wrong.  But we all know what a childish jerk Kerry is so....we'll just hold him and the rest of the Democrats to lower standards.

Why change now?

It seems that the Clinton administration fired 93 federal prosecutors in 1993 - their first year in office. These were undoubtedly political firings and Hillary was (by all accounts) at the heart of every hiring and firing decision in the first two years of her husband's administration.

Can we get to the bottom of this?

Or is it only a problem when a Republican does it on a much smaller scale?

I'm beginning to think Democratic politicians are not only crooked but shameless.

I see the defensive posture of the AG and it makes me wonder if he's been caught with his hand in the cookie jar.   I don't know what's happened here, but here's how I feel about it all.  Just like with the crooked Republicans who are now unemployed, if he (or they) did something wrong, let's purge like crazy.  I'm tired of bad government.

By all accounts the surge is going extremely well and hope is returning to the Iraqi people, so this is the perfect time for the Democrats to hold a surrender vote, right?  48 votes brought them pretty close.

I swear, if it weren't for that perverted Congressman in  Florida we wouldn't have to put up with this.  Wonder how his rehab is going?  Maybe he's dating Britney now.  Or her teenage brother.

Politics is strange and this cast of characters takes the cake.

This is hands-down the most fun time of year.  An upset here, a buzzer beater there and conferences gain and lose bragging rights along the way.

I'll be following Tennessee to see if they can make the Sweet 16.  That's my goal as they have four freshmen playing prominent roles and they should expect to go deep next year.

But who be the Gonzaga, the George Mason, the LSU, the NC State?

The only thing for sure is, somebody will be.
